This is a replica of the Edward III sword at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. It is commonly referred to as a bearing sword, ceremonial and not at all a practical weapon. I have long disagreed. My form here is not the best, being out of practice and recovering from some brokenness but I hope you can see the ease at which this weapon can be wielded. It’s shorter and lighter than most halberds and is a useable weapon. More informative videos will follow later in the year. #medieval #sword #hema #historic #weapon #bigsword
