Maxime Rius, Duke of Gâtinais. Nicknamed “The Gardener Prince” or “The Dragon of Autumn” by his contemporaries, Maxime Rius is both the head of House Rius and the current duke of Gâtinais. A vassal of House Maher of The Kingdom of Aquitaine, his family and he are best known for their traditions of gardening and farming amongst the great lords of Aquitaine. The House of Rius is best known for it’s administrative finesse and the lands of Gâtinais are best known for their exemplary production of agricultural goods, thanks in part to the exceptional stewardship of Maxime Rius and his predecessors. Since the production of agricultural goods in the Duchy of Gâtinais is far in excess of it’s base productivity, Maxime Rius and his House is one of wealthiest families in The Kingdom of Aquitaine outside The Royal Family themselves. Outside his administrative excellence and the rich gardening and farming traditions of his family and he, Maxime Rius is one of the most competent warriors amongst the great lords of The Kingdom of Aquitaine. It is said that he is proficient in a wide variety of weapons and in combat both mounted and on foot, and that his military skills won him the majority of the battles in which he had fought. This illustration was made as a late birthday present for Maxime Rius, a friend from France, that happened during the 12th of august.

It is said that he has sired many illegitimate children with both noble girls and lowborn girls. Outside his appetite for deflowering beautiful girls, he is a mighty warrior who has won many battles against the enemies of House Maher and The Kingdom of Aquitaine and he is known for his patronage of the arts. This illustration was made as late birthday present for Victor Blondeau, a friend in France, that happened during the 12 of August.

Kevin Alves, Duke of Castillon. Nicknamed &l…

Kevin Alves, Duke of Castillon. Nicknamed “The Vermillion Dragon” or “The Dragonet” by his contemporaries, Kevin Alves is both the head of House Alves, and the current duke of Castillon. A vassal of House Maher of The Kingdom of Aquitaine, Kevin Alves has the best kill record in the field of battle amongst the great lords of Aquitaine. It is said that he has killed as many as 150 warriors during his military career, of which half of his kills were other knights, both mounted and on foot. Apart from his might in battle, Kevin Alves is an adventurer who has traveled most of the world during his youth, save the savage lands of The Blood Court of Norsca. Since he has visited the majority of the great kingdoms and empires of the world, he has mastered 6 languages during his travels. Therefore, he is the candidate of choice to represent the interests of House Maher and The Kingdom in foreign affairs. This illustration was made as a late birthday present for Kevin Alves, a friend in France, during the 6th of august.

Teddy Verstraet, Count of Lübeck. Nicknamed …

Teddy Verstraet, Count of Lübeck. Nicknamed “The Merchant Prince” or “The Sea Lion” by his contemporaries, Teddy Verstraet is both the head of House Von Verstraet and the current Count of Lübeck. One of the great lords of The Kingdom of Aquitaine, Teddy Verstraet and his family are the wealthiest house in the kingdom after The House of Maher, or their overlords and the ruling family of Aquitaine. Although the Von Verstraets of Lübeck have always been the richest family after the royal family themselves, thanks to their ancient rights to a trade fleet outside the jurisdiction of the royal family, the fortune of the Von Verstraets under the reign of Teddy Verstraet grew exponentially with a colonial charter to establish trade posts in overseas territories in the name of House Maher and The Kingdom of Aquitaine. Apart from the fabulous wealth of his family and he and his highly lucrative colonial charter made with the permission of his overlords, Teddy Verstraet is one of the finest admirals amongst the great lords of Aquitaine. He is second only to Kelian Gerbolino, the current count of the isle of Poitiers. This illustration was made as a late birthday present for Teddy Verstraet, a friend in France.

The map of The Known World in context to the low fantasy setting of my creative project. This map chiefly above all else outlines the geopolitical boundaries and locations of all the currently existing Kingdoms and Empires in the world of my creative project using the colours and escutcheons of their ruling houses. This map does not include minor powers such as petty kingdoms, free cities, and tribal confederations. Map for a creative project of my design that takes place in a low fantasy setting with technology equivalent to the late medieval and renaissance periods. Where formations. Where formations of mounted and armoured knights fight alongside armies of pikemen and matchlock musketeers and all my friends and I are monarchs and lords, each with great military, political, and financial assets at our disposal.

The escutcheon I designed for Jon Mertz, a friend from Germany. 2nd Edition. Made for the designated replacement of House Bartol of The Midlands, and made originally as a present for his 24th birthday. Artwork for a creative project of my design that takes place in a low fantasy setting with technology equivalent to the late medieval and renaissance periods. Where formations of mounted and armoured knights fight alongside armies of pikemen and matchlock musketeers. In context to the lore of my creative project, Jon Mertz is the newly crowned king of House Mertz of Middenland, formerly The Kingdom of The Midlands under House Bartol. Since Jon Mertz’s conquest of the former Kingdom of The Midlands and Subsequent coronation, his first and formost policy as King of Middenland is the colonization and assimilation of the former kingdom of the midlands in line with his native culture in The Empire of Mankind, The “Austere” or “Northern” Imperials, whose culture is heavily inspired by medieval and renaissance era German and Czech culture.

An updated map of the great fiefdoms of The Kingdom of Aquitaine with the names and escutcheons of their ruling houses attached to them. Now updated to include The House of Dorsenne as the formal replacement of House Montaut as the ruling family of The Duchy of Auvergne. Map for a creative project of my design that takes place in a low fantasy setting with technology equivalent to the late medieval and renaissance periods, where all my friends and I are monarchs and lords with great military, political, and financial assets at our disposal. While most of the kingdoms and empires in the world of my creative project do not have exact historical equivalents, The Kingdom of Aquitaine is my creative project’s rough equivalent of The Kingdom of France during the medieval and ancien regime periods.

A coat of arms I designed and an illustration of a knight I retouched to feature the colours and coat of arms I designed for Jean Dorsenne, a friend in France. Artwork for a creative project of my design that takes place in a low fantasy setting with technology equivalent to the late medieval and renaissance periods. Where formations of mounted and armoured knights fight alongside armies of pikemen and matchlock musketeers. In context to the lore of my creative project, House Dorsenne is the ruling family of The Duchy of Auvergne and one of the great vassals of House Maher of The Kingdom of Aquitaine, or my creative project’s rough equivalent of The Kingdom of France during the medieval and ancien regime periods.

A repost of an illustration of a knight I retouched to feature the colours and coat of arms I designed for my friends Tylor Deaghaidh Leblanc and Felicia O’Dea Leblanc. Artwork for a creative project of my design that takes place in a low fantasy setting with technology equivalent to the late medieval and renaissance periods. Where formations of mounted and armoured knights fight alongside armies of pikemen and matchlock musketeers. In context to the lore of my creative project, House Deaghaidh is the ruling family of The Blood Court of Norsca. While having no rough equivalent in medieval or early modern european history, The Blood Court of Norsca is loosely inspired by a fusion of Medieval Norse Culture and Medieval Prussia under The Teutonic Knights. This repost was for strictly archival purposes and no changes have been made to this illustration since it’s previous post.
