It was a beautiful day last Saturday, so John and I went out to Red Bluff at Black Rock in Victoria for a bit of an impromptu photoshoot by the beach. I’d never been there before and the rocks and view absolutely blew me away. I felt like I was in a fairy tale.

Okay but, it’s easy to look good when you’re larping in a castle.

But please excuse my messy hair and how desperately tired I look. These photos were taken on the last day after the huge final battle of Swordcraft Quest in Victoria, Australia.

Everything else was made by me.

For the Emperor! Recruiting now!

I’m always so happy when I have enough pieces of garb lying around my appartment, that I can put together a half decent kit the day I run with a different warband 🙂

Bodiiiiiiice!
Absolutely could now be more thrilled with how this bodice turned out! Three years ago I could barely sew a straight line, and now I can make things like this in a day and a half. Practice and patience is all it takes 💙🖤
(Little embroidered flowers to be added after I finish this dang essay.)

Probably thinking about swords.
Or dragons.
Or both.

Abbey Medieval Festival. Caboolture, Australia.

This past weekend I traveled up to Caboolture in Queensland, Australia to attend Abbey Medieval Festival. The main tournament weekend of the festival plays host to over 60 market stalls, dozens of reenactment camps, a huge range of displays, medieval combat and jousting, food and beverage stands, medieval bands, an array of cute animals and a number of various interactive attractions. Basically Disneyland for the medieval geek in me.

I got to see so many friends, try really cool things and I got a super cute new hat! I made everything else I’m wearing.

I can’t wait to go back again next year!
