“My love? Are you awake?” He came into bed. Being close had never felt this way with Elias, her husband, but every part of her burned in an unspeakable way whenever Thomas was near.
“I want to stop the time and let this moment be all we ever do.” She replied silently as she gave herself to the bittersweet call of love.
It didn’t take months for the two of them to fall in love. Finding herself lonely at the Homestead while Elias was often away with his noble friends, drunk at towers and brothels, she would watch Thomas from the Balcony. And he would see her.
But the consequences of infidelity seemed so meaningless when she found herself in the arms of the man she loved.
“So, how do you enjoy your new surroundings?” Elias asked as he finished his last bit of supper. Not with much interest but one supposedly had to engage in conversation with ones wife.
“I miss home. Now that we are married, I will fulfill my responsibilities as a wife, but I will never be able to love that person you truly are.” She replied.
“Well, aren’t we in a wonderful mood this afternoon. I shall bid you farewell until night time as I’ll write my father-in-law, The King, a letter of gratitude for this home. And perhaps he will know how to learn my wife to speak properly to me!” And Elias left the hall.
Sneak peak of an older Charles (an heir but really an illegitimate child between King Henry and his mistress Jacobella) He already looks ready to take over the world! Yikes.
“My great-great-grandfather was in love with the only daughter of this powerful family but the fight of the Throne between the two families resulted in assassinations and betrayel. Seeing as the Stoneholds had always wanted to take upon The English Throne themselves and planned to kill the King, he had to make a decision which started The Great War. After numerous threats he and his men finally attacked them by midnight to win not only the safety of his throne but to win his only true love. I would do that for you, any time, in any life. I love you. Do never doubt that.”
Sometimes the servants at Rissingshire sneak into the library and have a cup of night tea, when the royal household is asleep knowing very well it’s forbidden. The servant on the right has been with the Lions family since King Edmund’s time.
Gifted by The King Elizabeth and her husband had moved into Home Of Holden. It’s an old, stonewalled home far away from anyone and everyone. The thought of moving into this home alone with Elias made her shiver just by the thought of it. Had it been days of riding just to get here from the village? She thought.
